2009 Spring Conference
Many eyes will be focused on TIA Yukon's 2009 Tourism Industry Spring Conference. This year's theme is Development - Tourism Moving Forward.
We've asked our members "What does development mean to you?' They've said they need more information on trends and statistics; they want tools made available to them to enhance business development; they have concerns around sustainability for our industry and they wonder how they fit in. We heard them and have developed a program that will focus on sustainability, tools to develop tourism business in the territory, and expectations for the coming year.
Key players from both the tourism industry and general business community are eager to see the unveiling of the results of the three major development projects that TIA Yukon has been working; and, with the announcement of the new Northern Economic Development Agency in the federal budget, there is no better time than now for businesses to evaluate their situation, develop new opportunities and grow their business forward.
