Jen from Tourism and Culture will be offering FREE one-on-one sessions on how to post packages to travelyukon.com. Sessions will be offered Thursday, May 5 in advance of the TIA Yukon Spring conference, as well as throughout the conference. Bring your copy and images on a CD or stick and you’ll get at least one package posted to the site before the session is done. FREE: One-on-One Consultation with Guest Speaker Lian Dumouchel
Entrepreneurship, innovation, product development and marketing – with an emphasis on small firms. What sounds like a conference wish list for TIA Yukon members also happens to be the areas of expertise for Professor Lian Dumouchel joining us from the School of Tourism at Thompson Rivers University (TRU). In addition to the workshop Lian will be offering on innovation and product development, she has also committed to spending time one-on-one consulting with participants on their own business questions or ideas.

Lian has a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Marketing, as well as an MBA in Small Business Management. Before helping to develop the Bachelor of Tourism Management degree program at Thompson Rivers, and later the Entrepreneurship Major within that program, she owned and operated her own small business consulting firm. Lian was the recipient of a 2010 Teaching Excellence Award.

A business strategist with a passion for website marketing and sustainability, Charlie James helps tourism companies integrate sustainable practices into every aspect of their business. In addition to a workshop on "going green" while improving your bottom line and building your brand, Charlie has committed to spending time one-on-one consulting with participants on their own business questions.

Charlie is a graduate of UBC’s Institute in Sustainability Leadership, and has a Certificate in Sustainability Management. She has a Certificate in Internet Marketing & Business Strategy (CIMBS) from UBC, and is Past President of theInternational Internet Marketing Association (IIMA). She is also a current member of the Advisory Committee for the UBC Certificate in Integrated Marketing Strategy.
